Fiddler tells Toby the Deal, but
Toby prioritizes his Name
- Roots Episode 1
First, Master Reynolds sets the task for
Fiddler. Then, Fiddler tries to communicate to Toby where they are and
what is at stake if Toby does not accept his place. But
despite the events that brought him from his Mandinka village to
the Virginia plantation, Toby's self-respect, self-value and
dignity remain intact (strong Roots) & significantly
equip him to face the challenges he is presented (we know this
by the fact of ALEX). How well
equipped are the youth in your neighborhood? How are they
made to accept their place? Strengthen their Roots and
then use exposures like this (Roots Episode1) to improve their Universal
Political Fluency.
